Conference of Xevi Bayona
A face-to-face conference where we will have the opportunity to listen to the architect Xevi Bayona, who will talk to us about the studio's trajectory and its most relevant projects.
Bayona Studio is a workshop and studio in the center of the city of Olot, where we work with experimentation and essay as a method, criticism as learning, emotions as a tool, the interpretation and respect of social, physical and cultural environment, enthusiasm and intense research as fuel. All straddling architecture, urban planning, art, landscape, ephemeral installations and light sculptures, a mix of disciplines that feed back and complement each other.
Xevi Bayona studied from an early age at the School of Fine Arts in Olot and studied architecture in Barcelona and in Portugal, at the FAUP, Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. Architect for the Barcelona Technical School of Architecture (ETSAB) with the PFC Biblioteca-Ludoteca in Espinho, Portugal. Post Graduate Degree in Landscaping at ETSAB and Master in Theory and Practice of Architectural Design at ETSAB with the thesis "La Girona dels Carrers-Escala". Since 2008, professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Girona. Since 2018, professor at Elisava's international master's in ephemeral architecture. Winner of several awards, including three FAD awards, several finalist and selected projects, winner of architectural awards and mentions from the Regions of Girona and winner of the Changing Tracks competition, a European project to create 3 installations, in Catalonia, England and Ireland. Since 2017 he collaborates and realizes projects together with Àlex Posada, MID Studio. He has carried out civil works such as the Rehabilitation of the Tortosa State Bridge over the Ebro River, the rehabilitation of the Sant Jaume de Llierca sports area or the Olot Fair, as well as housing architecture works. He has given conferences, workshops and made ephemeral interventions in several European cities.

Conferència de Xevi Bayona
Una conferència presencial on tindrem l’oportunitat d’escoltar a l’arquitecte Xevi Bayona, que ens parlarà sobre la trajectòria de l’estudi i dels seus projectes més rellevants.
Bayona Studio és un taller i estudi al centre de la ciutat d’Olot, on es treballa amb l’experimentació i l’assaig com a mètode, la crítica com a aprenentatge, les emocions com a eina, la interpretació i respecte de l’entorn social, físic i cultural, la il·lusió i recerca intensa com a combustible. Tot a cavall de l’arquitectura, l’urbanisme, l’art, el paisatge, les instal·lacions efímeres i les escultures lumíniques, una barreja de disciplines que es retroalimenten i es complementen les unes amb les altres.
Xevi Bayona estudia des de petit a l’escola de Belles Arts d’Olot i estudia arquitectura a Barcelona i a Portugal, a la FAUP, Facultat d’Arquitectura de la Universitat de Porto. Arquitecte per l’Escola Tècnica d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) amb el PFC Biblioteca-Ludoteca a Espinho, Portugal. Post Grau de Paisatgisme a l’ETSAB i Màster en Teoria i Pràctica del Projecte Arquitectònic a l’ETSAB amb la tesina “La Girona dels Carrers-Escala”. Des del 2008 professor a la Facultat d’Arquitectura de la Universitat de Girona. Des del 2018 professor al màster internacional d’arquitectura efímera d’Elisava. Guanyador de diversos premis, entre els quals tres premis FAD, diversos projectes finalistes i seleccionats, guanyador de premis i mencions d’arquitectura de les Comarques de Girona i guanyador del concurs Changing Tracks, un projecte europeu per realitzar 3 instal.lacions, a Catalunya, Anglaterra i Irlanda. Des del 2017 col·labora i realitza projectes conjuntament amb Àlex Posada, MID Studio. Ha realitzat obres civils com la Rehabilitació del pont de l’Estat de Tortosa sobre el riu Ebre, la rehabilitació de la zona esportiva de Sant Jaume de Llierca o el Firal d’Olot, així com obres d’arquitectura habitacional. Ha donat conferències, workshops i realitzat intervencions efímeres a diverses ciutats Europees.

Construction vermouth V45 + Competition presentation Tarragona Port Authority
Guided visit to the rehabilitation of the office building of the former Headquarters of the Port Authority, work presented in the Rehabilitation category: Restoration, rehabilitation or reform works of the XII Alejandro de la Sota Biennial, by the architects Elisabet Prat Castellví and Anna Adserà Quesada, P+A Architects SCPP.
In the 1970s, Josep Maria Garreta designed the unique Brutalist-style building to house the Tarragona Port Authority Headquarters. The building was left in disuse for a few years because the offices were too small and they were moved. In an effort to preserve it, a comprehensive rehabilitation project was drawn up to bring it back to life.
It will also be submitted to the Tarragona Port Authority contest for technical assistance for the drafting of the urban transformation project around the APT headquarters, where we will have the intervention of the President of the Port of Tarragona, Saül Garreta Puig.
At the end, the traditional free vermouth will be served.
The visit will begin at 10:30 a.m. and we will meet in front of the offices of the Tarragona Port Authority.

Vermut de obra V45 + Presentación concurso · Autoridad Portuaria de Tarragona
Visita guiada a la rehabilitación del edificio de oficinas de la antigua Sede de la Autoridad Portuaria, obra presentada en la categoría de Rehabilitación: Obras de restauración, rehabilitación o reforma de la XII Bienal Alejandro de la Sota, de las arquitectas Elisabet Prat Castellví y Anna Adserà Quesada, P+A Arquitectes SCPP.
En los años 70, Josep Maria Garreta proyectó el singular edificio de estilo brutalista para acoger la Sede de la Autoridad Portuaria de Tarragona. El edificio quedó unos años en desuso porque las oficinas se quedaron pequeñas y se trasladaron. Con el afán de conservarlo, se redactó un proyecto de rehabilitación integral para volverle a dar vida.
También se presentará del concurso de la Autoridad Portuaria de Tarragona por la asistencia Técnica para la redacción del proyecto de transformación urbanística del entorno de las sedes de la APT, donde contaremos con la intervención del Presidente del Puerto de Tarragona, Saül Garreta Puig.
Al acabar se servirá el tradicional vermut gratuito.
La visita empezará a las 10:30 h y nos encontraremos delante las oficinas de la Autoridad Portuaria de Tarragona.
